Rare earth
metals exhibit excellent properties in magnetism,
optics and electronics. They are necessary raw materials
for producing high-tech materials, such as rare
earth permanent magnets, hydrogen storage material,
magneto-optical recording materials, giant magnetostrictive
materials, luminescent materials and magneto-refrigeration
materials etc.
CREM has researched and developed purified rare
earth metals and its alloys and obtained many achievements
in scientific research since 1960s. Some achievements,
such as producing technologies of Dy, Y, Sm, Tb,
high-purified Sc, Dy, Tb, etc, were awarded by the
state or Ministries. |

CREM has established the biggest domestic producing line
of middle-heavy rare earth metals. The line can produce
12 kinds of rare earth metals with purities at 99.0%~99.99%
and more than 20 specification products. High quality
can be assumed by applying ISO9001. The products have
been exported to Japan, the United States and Europe
Now, CREM is undertaking High-purified Rare Earth Metals
Industry Model Project. The producing capacity can reach
to zootons of rare earth metals and 300 tons of of rare
earth alloys annually. New products, such as rare earth
metal targets, metal functional materials, are being developed.
