CREM has
been working on the research and development of
automotive emission catalytic control for more than
20 years since taking in hand the state primary
researching project"R&D on the automotive
catalyst"in 1975. CREM accumulates abundant
experience and owns high R&D ability.
(1) Equipment
CREM can meet the demands of different stages in
the R&D for industrial catalysts from the catalyst
preparation, catalytic evaluation to the identification
of manufacture proces CREM owned lots of advanced
R&D equipment includingcomplete sets of catalyst
preparation devices,heterogeneous |

catalytic reaction
dynamics characterization system, miniature reaction test
system, on-line Gas-Chromatogram analyzer, five-component
gas detector, infrared-ray CO analyzer, BET surface area
detector, particle size analyzer, and so on.
(2) Current interests
Our current interests concentrate on the exhaust purification
and the emission control. The main projects are shown
as follows:
1. R&D Catalysts for automotive
emission control
Low loading "only-Pd"
and "only Pt" automotive catalyst
Free noble metal automotive catalyst
2. Target synthesis of CeO2-ZrO2
nano-powder with vary of structures and characters
3. R&D on high temperature combustion materials for
the natural gas combustion emission control
4. R&D on the novel catalyst for eliminating VOCs
under mild condition
5. R&D on the NOx reduction catalyst under rich oxygen
condition
(3) staff members
CREM has excellent R&D personnel structure. As the
leading professor, Prof. Zhang Guocheng, the member of
Chinese Academy of Engineering, is responsible for the
developing of the whole projects with three other professors.
CREM has attracted several young scientist including doctors
and masters to undertake these projections.
